Tips to increase a student's confidence before a math exam

Knowing how your classmates do can help you in several ways. Simply talking about that newly learned basic fraction concept or that right triangle question with another 6th grade math student would help knowing about it.

Ask other students whenever you feel confused. When you are confused about a simple algebra equation or even an inequality with absolute value, asking other math students can assist you understand. Learning from your classmates is the best way, since adult explanations will often be complex and, sometimes, superfluous.

Asking questions is active participation. In developing an understanding of fundamental concepts, 6th grade math students should seek advice about confusing math concepts they don't realize.
